Jay & Cindi Anthony of the Anthony Family Foundation

Cindi & Jay Anthony

For more than two decades, Cindi and Jay Anthony have demonstrated a deep and enduring commitment to Literacy Achieves — one rooted not only in generosity, but in service, leadership, and shared community faith. As we celebrate the twentieth anniversary of Wings of Spring, it is both fitting and meaningful to honor the couple whose journey with Literacy Achieves began at its very foundation and has continued, faithfully, ever since.

Their involvement grew from their longstanding commitment to Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church, whose vision and leadership helped to found Literacy Achieves. From those early days, the Anthonys’ support has reflected a firm belief that English language literacy promotes self-respect and enhances the well-being of our students, their families and the greater community.

Cindi Anthony

Cindi’s relationship with Literacy Achieves reflects a deep commitment, marked by both personal service and financial support. Over the years, she has served as a volunteer literacy tutor, Board Member, and Board Chair, offering both her time and leadership to advance the organization’s mission from within.

Cindi also co-chaired the very first Wings of Spring Gala 20 years ago, helping to establish what has become one of Literacy Achieves’ most meaningful traditions. Her leadership helped shape the spirit of the event - one grounded in purpose, hospitality, and community celebration.

In addition to her role at Anthony Properties, Cindi serves as Vice President of the Anthony Family Foundation, continuing a legacy of thoughtful philanthropy rooted in faith, service, and long-term impact.

Jay Anthony

Jay Anthony is the founder of Anthony Properties, a Dallas-based real estate company established in 1987 and built on principles of honesty, integrity and community investment. Across decades of leadership in real estate, finance, and entrepreneurship, Jay has consistently sought to balance his professional success with civic responsibility.

In addition to his business leadership, Jay serves as President of the Anthony Family Foundation, guiding its philanthropic mission to support education, the arts, and initiatives which support the health, safety and welfare of our community.

A Shared Legacy of Faith and Action

Together, Jay and Cindi Anthony exemplify a model of engagement that goes beyond financial support — one grounded in faith, volunteerism, and a deep relationship with the communities they serve. The Anthonys and their children believe that today, more than ever, it is critical to show support for organizations committed to promoting tolerance, compassion and cross-cultural understanding. Their return as Honorary Chairs for Wings of Spring 2026 is not only a celebration of generosity, but a recognition of the quiet, steadfast leadership that has helped Literacy Achieves grow and flourish for more than two decades.

Events Chairs

Joyce is a commercial finance lawyer, currently with Northmarq Capital. Although most of her friends have retired, she finds purpose and joy in working with her really smart and fun colleagues in helping to create more affordable rental housing around the country.

However she is the most proud of her accomplishments outside the office. First, partnering with her husband Lee in raising their 2 incredible now-adult daughters, Nikki and Elise. AND, being on the ground floor of the founding of our fledgling ESL program almost 30 years ago. As an immigrant herself, coming from Indonesia with her family almost 30 years before Literacy Achieves was founded, she has a deep compassion for immigrants who have found their way here, for a better life for their families, as her family did.

If she ever retires, you are likely to find her spending more time experimenting in the kitchen and hiking or skiing in the mountains, while she still can!

The Role of the Event Chairs

Each year, the Wings of Spring Event Chairs serve as ambassadors for Literacy Achieves—championing the mission, strengthening community connections, and helping to steward the vision of the organization forward. More than ceremonial leaders, Event Chairs lend their influence, credibility, and commitment to ensure the event reflects both the heart of the mission and the future it is building.

For Wings of Spring 2026, we are honored to be led by a team that represents both continuity and forward momentum.
